In order for everyone to understand me, it is important to spend a day in my shoes. Here is an example of a typical day in my life.
6:00 AM
First thing in the morning,
I take a shower and eat breakfast.
This is a common breakfast for me. It is called a scone, and it is something
like a muffin.
7:20 AM
This is one of my friends, Travis, picking me up in his car, to drive me to school.
7:30AM
This is my high school,
Brattleboro Union High School,
were I go to stay from 7:30 AM to 2:20 AM, Monday through Friday.
My first class of the day is Photography II,
where we learn how to take artistic photos of the world around us.
Right after Photography II, the entire school goes to what we call advisory.
It is a time for teachers to get attendance, and for students to receive important
announcements about the day.
My second class of the day Social Studies.
In this class, we learn about the history of the United States,
as well as some of the history of the rest of the world.
Right after Social Studies, I have lunch.
Sometimes, my friends and I eat in the cafeteria (as pictured)
and sometimes we go out to a local restaurant to get some food.
Math class is my third class of the day.
Right now, we are learning about how to make animated pictures using mathematics.
Asian American Cultural Exchange is my last class of my school day.
We meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays and we work on these web sites,
learn about Chinese culture and learn how to speak some Chinese.
This is the reason that I am going to China.
After school on the other three days of the week, Monday, Tuesday and Friday, I go to my job. I work at a place called Windham Child Care where we pay for child care for people that can't afford it.
This is what the office
looks like.
After I come home from work, or from AACE class on Wednesdays and Thursdays, I usually go home and start my homework.
A lot of my homework is done on my laptop as shown here.
While
I am doing my homework, my grandmother, who lives with my mom and I, cooks dinner
for us.
6:00PM
By around 6:00 in the evening,
my family and I begin to eat dinner.
It is a time for the three of us to talk about what we did that day,
and what the rest of the week has in store.
After dinner, I usually go into my room to work on more homework, or do something fun.
This is a picture of part of my room.
I will put some music on, read, or work on some art projects.
Eventually, it will be time for me to get some sleep.
I will brush my teeth, get into bed..
...and eventually fall
asleep.
This brings to a close a day in my life, of course until I wake up tomorrow
and I do it again.
