I did my presentation on Yue Fei, the war hero. He was born 1103 and
died in1141 at the age of 39. He was pushed out of his homevillage and
left fatherless by a flood and later was rescued and raised by Wang
Ming. He became good friends with many people including Niu Gao, Tang
Huai Zhang Xian and Wang Gui. When he went off the join the army his
mother gave him a tattoo that said "serve the country with boundless
loyalty." Yue Fei becomes a military advisor and defeats of over
5,000 men, with only 800. He won several victories, including the battle
of Bull Head mountain. Zongbi tries to capture Yue Fei’s family
but is Stopped by Yue Yun, Yue Fei's son. The Jin had lost 700,000 men,
and victory was assured but the emperor lost interest in reclaiming
lost territories and called him back. The Jin try to attack again while
Yue Fei is off quelling a rebellion. Another famous battle called Eight
Hammers Wreak Havoc in Zhunxianzhen takes place. When Yue Fei is on
the verge of winning the war, he is called back to his post by Qin Hui
who had been conspiring with Jin to kill him. Yue Fei dies at 39, Yue
Yun at 23. |
