Some General Suggested Topics for Research It is up to you to take one of these general topics and narrow in on an interest area of your own liking. We are not looking for a huge overview, rather a presentation on an area that you find interesting within the larger topic. For instance, if you were interested in art you might narrow down thousands of years, and hundreds of art mediums, and research the pottery of a particular dynasty. Another example might be "the symbology of art found in Buddhist temples" or something else specific.
Research assignments will requires a 20 minute oral multimedia presentation (meaning more than one media. Examples might be; PowerPoint, Web Site, Video or Performance). Summaries of your projects must be posted online, at the course Web site. Student presenters should have some type of interactive aspect to their presentation. Please check out the grading rubric to make sure you incorporate all the elements of an excellent presentation into your assignment and the course policies which explains in much more detail the course process. |
