Saturday 4/17:    Departure from the U.S.;Sunday 4/18: Arrived Beijing at 2:35 pm - lost a day to travel!

Monday 4/19:    .The Great Wall at Mutianyu

Tuesday 4/20:    Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Temple of Heaven, & Beijing Opera in pm

The long covered walkway leading to the Temple of Heaven is a gathering spot for many older folks. They sing, play cards, play music and chat. The man above was crocheting and surrounded by admiring women his age as he showed his work. The man on the right is playing an Erhu, an ancient stringed insturment.

Wednesday 4/21  Fly to Kunming. Arrival at Kunming Airport around noon

Thursday 4/22 ....School visit (4 pages, make sure to check them all out!)

Friday 4/23 ........Trip to the Stone Forest

Saturday 4/24-25 Trip to Dali, one overnight, return to Kunming in the evening
Monday 4/26 ......Visit flower market outside Kunming ........................ Lunch w/ students .........................Western Hills .........................Farewell Dinner

Tuesday 4/27    ..Departure for Beijing by air in afternoon, Haircuts in the evening

Wednesday 4/28  Visit to the Summer Palace, Acrobatic show in the evening

Thursday 4/29    .Shopping at the Friendship Store, Pearl Market, and Arts Street, Karaoke
 
Friday 4/30 ........Departure United Airline at 4:35 pm. Arrival in Hartford, on the same day, 9:14pm.
